ASEAN is a dynamic and growing economic powerhouse. Its combined nominal GDP exceeds USD 4 trillion and it has over 600 million people. ASEAN has 10 member states, soon to become 11 (Timor Leste). The economic dynamism of ASEAN is matched by its incredible diversity, in colonial histories, political systems, levels of economic development, ethnicities, religion, language, culture and of course food.
